ASU visit gives OL ‘a lot to think about'

John Cullen is one the most coveted junior left tackles in the 2010 class, and a prospect that ASU has been tracking for a while. Devils Digest talked to Cullen following his visit, who said he was very impressed with his Tempe visit.

"It was really good," said the 6-6 285 John Cullen. "I got to do the usual official visit stuff with the players and the coaches. The football aspect of it really surprised me. I didn't have a good idea of what it was going to be like here, but the facilities that they have and the type of players that they are getting here…they showed me that they are going in the right direction.

"I was shocked to see the kind of atmosphere they have down there. It's not what most people think Arizona State would be like. I definitely have a lot to think about."

Cullen was hosted by quarterback Steven Threet.

Aside from Arizona State, Cullen visited just Tennessee. He has a visit scheduled for Oklahoma this week, but said he may have to postpone it by a week or more.

Since the four-star lineman is graduating this spring, he plans to take visits in January as well. "I'm planning to visit Utah," Cullen remarked. "After that it's kind of up in the air. Maybe I'll visit Kansas State."
