Josiah Turner has given his verbal to Arizona and it could wind up being huge down the road for numerous reasons.
First, there is the obvious reason of him being such a good player.
Turner is a top ten player in the class and one that should be a major contributor immediately upon hitting campus.
Arizona's back court is certainly going to be one of the best in the country due in large part to itz size and athleticism.
However, this also sends a message to the rest of the country.
Arizona is officially a force to be reckoned with in recruiting and that in turn should transfer to the court.
This was a national recruitment and the UA beat out some very quality programs to land Turner.
Being able to get his friend, Nick Johnson, also played a role.
What should be interesting to watch in that chain is where this leaves Arizona with Brandon Ashley, another AAU teammate of Turner and Johnson's.
The magnitude of this commitment for Arizona can't be understated and if it pans out the way most feel it should, the UA is looking to be a national championship contender sooner than later.
Turner commit huge for UA
