The Red team defeated the Blue team 39-38 Sunday afternoon, as Derrick Williams led all scorers with 15 points.
Before the game, Arizona head coach Sean Miller addressed the crowd, which is one of the biggest for this game that has been recorded.
"I was very excited by the crowd and I don't want to use the word surprised because I never am surprised at the passion of our fan base," said Miller. "I want to thank everyone who came for the Red-Blue game....to have that many people at the football game last night and then the number of people that came to the game today was amazing."
Lamont Jones showed a solid game at the point and actually played for both times during the game, sc
Kyryl Natyazhko had a very solid game as well, as he was the leading rebounded with six. He also added nine points and looks to be improved from last season, although much remains to be seen.
In terms of freshman, Jordin Mayes ran the point well and it is obvious that he will play a major role this season.
Mayes finished with eight points and two assists, although he could have finished with more should his teammates converted.
There was also a dunk contest before the game, which Brendon Lavender won after he had a cartwheel-backflip combination at half court before throwing down a tomahawk jam.
