No Qb controversy

After Saturday's game, there was a bit of talk about a quarterback controversy and while that remains a fun problem to have, the reality of the situation is that a QB controversy is something that is not going to happen.

After Saturday's game, there was a bit of talk about a quarterback controversy and while that remains a fun problem to have, the reality of the situation is that a QB controversy is something that is not going to happen.

A quarterback usually has to lose his job rather than a back up playing so well that he overtakes the starter.

Foles has done absolutely nothing to lose his job and Scott still has not done enough to win it.

With that being said, Scott has definitely earned the right to get more playing time for the rest of the season.

Evidence of this is the fact that Arizona was able to run the zone read with effectiveness and UW simply had no clue how to stop it.

Oregon has shown us what an effective zone read can do to opposing defenses and if the Wildcats can add it to their offense, the entire team is going to be better because of it.

The team is likely better with Foles behind center, but it is also more unpredictable with Scott playing as well.

It will be interesting to see how Mike Stoops approaches this, but the guess here is that Scott will prove to be too good to keep off the field.

Arizona now has a fantastic problem and one that every team in the country would love to have.

With that being said, it certainly is not a quarterback controversy.
