Football Power Rankings

Here is how we see the current state opf affairs in the Pac-10.

1. Oregon: It is obvious at this point that Oregon is the best team in the conference. However, we would like to see this team get challenged a bit more and SC has a chance to come out on top.

2. Stanford: The Cardinal deserve the second spot, although this is much closer. Stanford may be a tad overrated, but there is plenty of firepower on offense.

3. Arizona: The Wildcats looked good with Matt Scott, but questions remain about how it will look against strong passing teams.

4. USC: Matt Barkley should be a Heisman candidate and the Trojans have a chance to make a splash on Saturday.

5. Cal: The Golden Bears are hard to predict, but when they play well, Cal is as good as most teams in the conference.

6. Oregon State: Losing James Rodgers is absolutely huge and OSU is going to need a better effort from its defense.

7. Washington: The Huskies got blown out by Arizona, but are a dangerous squad at home.

8. Arizona State: The Sun Devils are pretty much tied with the Huskies, but it is hard to get over a complete beating like Cal handed the Sun Devils.

9. UCLA: the Bruins are in major trouble on both sides of the ball and there will likely be changes in the offseason.

10. Washington State: The Cougars are improved, but not on defense, where they simply allow too many yards and points.
