Although the game is a few days away, it looks as if Nick Foles will be the starter against Stanford on Saturday.
"Nick was a full participant in practice yesterday so we feel good about that," Stoops said. "I'm not going to divulge what we're going to emphasize or who we're going to play at this point, but I feel comfortable saying Nick is 100 percent."
Judging by the comments, it certainly would not be a surprise to see both signal callers get playing time. In fact, it would be a surprise if only one of the saw the field.
"Matt just adds a little different dimension," Stoops said. "We're not a huge quarterback run team; Matt can run with it and we try to keep teams honest with it.
"We'll continue to look at different formations and groupings that give us an opportunity to run the quarterback. That's something you can't overlook and you have to prepare for."
If for some reason Foles is not able to play at full effectiveness, Stoops still has plenty of confidence in Matt Scott.
"Matt has really grown up a lot and has really matured into a quarterback," Stoops said. "He's a great thrower of the football; I think people want to identify him as a runner but he's always been a thrower first.
"He has a great arm and a great delivery, and we've said all along we can win with either quarterback, and we've proven that's the case this season."
Foles likely to start
