Arizona has never had a problem getting athletes.
Players like Hassan Adams and Andre Igoudala have represented Arizona well and been some of the more athletic players n the country.
As soon as guard Nick Johnson steps on the court at Arizona, he automatically will become the most athletic player in the conference.
"Nick is a special player who will have an immediate impact on our program," said Sean Miller.
Indeed he is.
Johnson will be asked to play both point guard and shooting guard and while there is always room for improvement, he certainly has the skill set to play both.
Johnson can still be considered a raw player, which is a scary thought for the rest of the conference when one considers just how strong he is in certain areas.
He will automatically bring solid ball handling and a mid-range jumper to Arizona and once he becomes a bit more polished, the Wildcats have a chance to have a player that is one of the best guards in the country.
"He has the ability to play both guard positions, is a superior athlete on both ends of the floor and is really becoming an excellent shooter and explosive athlete," Miller said.
Johnson is an ambassador of sorts in the sense that he is automatically going to be marketable to other recruits and comes from a school in which there will always be a ton of talent.
Some players are just basketball players and there is nothing wrong with that. However, Johnson seems to be a little bit more.
"Nick is a fantastic kid and we are ecstatic to have him as a part of our program," Miller said.
Johnson more than a player
