Miller frustrated with team

After Arizona's game against BYU, there was a feeling of discomfort and it may have been the most evident in Sean Miller.

"Disappointed across the board," said Miller. "We didn't play well as a team; our readiness and our confidence.

"I think any time you get down 28-10, it doesn't reflect that the other team is better than you, I think it reflects that you have some stuff on your own team that certainly didn't go well on that given day."

There is not one player on Arizona that is immune from Miller's criticism, as he took time to touch on Derrick Williams' defensive ability.

"Derrick has to emerge," Miller said. "You have to play both offense and defense. 75-72 late in the Kansas game you have to get the rebound. You have to make big plays in big moments; you can't be in foul trouble.

"You've got to be terrific on both defense and offense; you can't be 23 points and eight rebounds and have no effort on defense."

Although the loss is frustrating for Arizona, Miller believes it needs to be turned into a learning experience for the team.

"Our job now is to learn from it and move forward," said Miller. "There are plenty of teams that lose a tough game who respond and are better because of the experience and we want to be that team."
