Wildcats ready for challenge

Arizona is set to face NAU on Thursday and the coaching staff is expecting a more difficult game than others may be.

"NAU deserves a lot of credit, they have seven wins and an excellent coach," Sean Miller said. "They really execute on offense. They lead the nation from the three-point line but don't take a lot of them."

The Lumberjacks are a strong shooting team and Arizona will need to be careful that NAU does not get hot from behind the arc.

"They are very selective in who shoots the three but when they shoot it, they shoot it at a high percentage. They play a match-up zone and man to man and can give you problems with both."

NAU's leading scorer is Cameron Jones and Miller says the team must prepare for his shooting ability.

"They have one of those teams that have gone through a lot and Cameron Jones to me is a very, very good player," explained Miller. "He hurt us last season in McKale and I think he was pre-season player of the year in their conference and will be a tough matchup for us."

While the opponent may not be a huge name, Miller believes that this is an important game for his squad.

"This is a really big game for us," said Miller. "We want to bounce back from our BYU experience. The light doesn't shine any deeper beyond NAU."
