Arizona has hired Nine-year NFL veteran and former Wildcat all-Pac-10 tackle Joe Salave'a to replace Mike Tuiasosopo as defensive line coach.
Salave'a will start immediately and will be on Arizona's sideline for the bowl game as well.
He is known best for being the team captain in 1996 and earning honorable mention All-Pac-10 honors in 1995, second-team honors in 1996 and first-team selection in 1997.
Salave'a saw his first year coaching at San Jose State as successful, as he sent a player to the NFL.
In 2008, he mentored San Jose State Spartans' tackle Jarron Gilbert, the NCAA leader in tackles for loss and the Chicago Bears' first pick in the 2009 NFL Draft.
