After Corona (Calif.) Centennial's loss in the state championship, Michael Eubank decided to end his recruitment.
Unfortunately for Arizona, the Wildcats saw his recruitment end in a different way.
Eubank chose Arizona State over Arizona and although one player often does not make a program, this is absolutely a big loss for Arizona.
Eubank was Arizona's second option at quarterback behind Daxx Garman and a player that the coaching staff felt had plenty of potential.
With Arizona struggling with depth at the QB position, Eubank would have been a nice get in case of any disaster scenarios.
Instead, Arizona saw its current main target at the position go to its rival, which undoubtedly puts another damper on the recruiting class.
Arizona State seems to have some momentum and Arizona has absolutely none. In fact, its 6-0 start did not do much to get things going with recruiting.
While Mike Stoops has the reputation of being able to find and developed lower talent, it eventually leads to mediocrity.
The players that are highly rated have a better chance of being successful than those that do not. Arizona needs to step it up in recruiting and Eubanks epitomizes that fact.
Eubanks decision shows room for improvement
