Miller happy with win

Sean Miller could not have been more pleased after Sunday's win.

Arizona head coach Sean Miller could not have been more pleased after Sunday's win over Stanford.

"It was a great win," Miller said. "When you're in conference play, every game is hard. Watching how they played recently against Cal and ASU, you got the sense that Stanford was a team that was hitting their stride.

"They have a lot of young players that are growing up before our eyes and not only are they a good team this year, but they're going to be a very good team in the future."

While Williams once again had a solid game, Jamelle Horne may have been the difference in the game.

"I thought Jamelle Horne was the story of the game," he said. "It's his senior year and you want him to have his best year at Arizona. I think he's played extremely well over the past few games.

"He was 4-for-4 from three, but it wasn't just that he hit four threes, it was the timing of those threes. Jamelle also helped out a lot on the glass. We outscored Stanford 18-4 on second chance points, and he had a lot to do with that."

The UA will now prepare for its game Saturday against Arizona State.

"We're going to lift weights and watch film tomorrow, but beside that we won't have practice," Miller said.

"We'll practice Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and that's all this week. We can kind of sense that the players are beginning to break down, so this break will be very good for us as a team."
