Arizona was able to get the lead early and cruise throughout as it defeated Arizona State 80-69 on Saturday.
Derrick Williams had one of the best games of his career, shooting 8-12 from the field and hitting 15-16 from the free throw line to finish with 31 points.
Jesse Perry also bounced back to score 13 points of his own and Solomon Hill scored 11.
Arizona State took advantage of Arizona mistakes early and jumped out to a minimal lead early.
However, Arizona eventually settled down and the Sun Devils simply had no answer for the offense that the Wildcats presented.
Williams had complete control in the pain and ASU forced numerous shots. In addition, the Sun Devils seemed to struggle at the point guard position and Arizona took advantage.
Arizona easily defeats ASU
