Arizona may not have ended last season the way people would have liked, but there is still a positive feeling surrounding the program.
"I am very much looking forward to the upcoming season and starting a new year with a new football team," Mike Stoops said. "I think when you look at the nucleus of players we have coming back, I think this sets up to be another typical Arizona team.
"We have some holes to replace but offensively having a great quarterback and a go to wide receiver, having a great running back is essential. Obviously the offensive line is the most critical part of the offense that we will need to address."
One reason to be positive is the coaching changes Stoops has made, including the addition of former BYU offensive coordinator Robert Anae.
"Hiring Robert Anae could not be a better fit for us, for me, and our offensive staff," Stoops said. "Bringing that maturity, bringing that success at virtually at all levels.
"He is a guy that goes back to Coach (Mike) Leach at Texas Tech, has done his thing at BYU and knows how to use personnel a bunch of different ways and has an expertise on the offensive line that is desperately needed at this level of football."
