There have been coaching changes, commitments, and other good news surrounding the program.
However, the best news may be that the Wildcats will have Juron Criner next season.
"That is I think obviously a big deal for us," Mike Stoops said. "For Juron to have the maturity to see that he needs to continue to progress to be the best and he wants to be the best wide receiver in the country.
"That is why he is coming back and I think another year would serve him well."
Stoops believes Criner and Dan Buckner will form a duo that any opposing school will have to worry about.
"I think we have probably the strongest nucleus of receivers that we have ever had and will be a formidable group any where in the country," he said. "We will make some adjustments accordingly offensively to make sure we can feature those guys."
That is just one of the reasons Stoops believes that Criner ultimately made the right choice.
"Juron went through the process with the NFL evaluation," Stoops said. "There is no question he is ready, but I think he will be more ready and he gets the opportunity to make more money staying in school.
