Arizona gave Washington its best shot in the first half on Thursday.
It was never going to be enough.
UW was just the better team, as it defeated Arizona 85-68 behind a 22-point performance from Isaiah Thomas.
Arizona shot 33 percent from the field in the first half, but was able to keep it close. Even though the Wildcats improved on that shooting percentage in the second, Washington did as well and pulled away by getting to the line and playing superior defense.
Washington got to the line more and outrebounded Arizona, two areas that would have helped immensely.
Derrick Williams led Arizona with 22 points and 11 rebounds, while Solomon Hill finished with 12.
Arizona now plays Washington State on Saturday.
UA falls in Seattle
