After Thursday's win over UCLA, there was plenty that UA head coach Sean Miller could have pointed to as the reason for winning.
He chose defense.
Arizona shot better than UCLA and, excerpt for Reeves Nelson, forced most of the Bruins into tough night.
"Three-point defense was big in the win tonight," Miller said. "We held them to two for fifteen. I think that we might have the best three-point defense percentage in the country at this rate, and I hope we can continue that going into Saturday's game."
While Reeves Nelson had a great game, Arizona improved its defense dramatically in the second half.
"We defended Reeves Nelson a lot better in the second half," Miller said. "There was a better crowd around him. He has the ability to have a big night very easily, like a lot of the other UCLA players.
"At any given night, they can have five or six guys playing very well. We kept Nelson from getting a lot of good looks in the second half, and that really helped us in the win."
