As Arizona continues to move up the rankings, Arizona head coach Sean Miller says the attention is something that comes with the territory, even though it may be lacking in some areas.
"I think all of them came to Arizona in large to be a part of something like that," Miller said. "To be ranked, to be trying to win our conference, those are all things you talk about on the front end before a young person enters our program and I think it's great our guys have a chance to live that.
"In terms of national attention, I don't think we get any. I've had two national media people not even realize who we played last game. In my mind, it was one of the great games of this season and it was a huge game for us and gave us a chance to win our ninth conference game."
With that being said, Derrick Williams certainly has not been struggling for attention, as he has been receiving it at a national level.
"If we finish over the next month and continue to do well as a team, team successes has a funny way of getting individual players those amazing accolades," Miller said. "No program knows that more than Arizona when you consider the great players that have become All-Americans.
"It's important for Derrick that our team finishes strong, and I think if that's the case then those awards and those things that really matter that he should get, I believe he'll get them."
