Portland prep ready to show his stuff

Arizona has gone to Portland to land it's first commitment this recruiting period, and may be headed back there to get the second piece of the recruiting puzzle. Wing forward Brandon Lincoln, local rival of future Wildcat Chris Rodgers, is seriously considering Arizona.

"Arizona and Oregon are the early leaders," the 6-5 Lincoln said.

Lincoln is also hearing a lot from Gonzaga, Oklahoma, Santa Clara, USC and UCLA.

While he has his leaders, Lincoln isn't ready to commit until he finds out some more information on the schools that are in pursuit.

"Team chemistry is very important," Lincoln said. "So is the coach, how he coaches and what type of person he is. My main concern is the basketball aspect, on and off the court, since that is where I will spend most of my time in college."

Lincoln is headed to Indianapolis for the Nike camp and is primed to show off his skills.

"I can't wait," Lincoln said. "I should be considered one of the country's best players and I'm going to show it at the camp. I haven't really been able to show what I can do. I want to show my stuff."

Lincoln realizes that he needs to improve on defense, but he believes he possesses the skills and fundamentals to improve college coaches.

"I'm solid in the open court, finding my teammates. I'm a fundamental basketball player."
