Saturday's loss to Washington was difficult for the Wildcats, but Sunday's news brought enjoyment to what could have been a somber weekend.
In the opposite tune of last year, Arizona sat on Sunday with the knowledge that it would be making the NCAA tournament.
Now, it knows that it received a five seed and will be facing a 12 seed in Memphis.
Arizona stands at 27-7 and won the Pac-10 regular season championship. While it failed to win the post season tournament as well, Arizona was helped in large part because of its high RPI.
The Wildcats finished with a RPI of 19 and strength of schedule of 52.
The times of the games have yet to be announced, but Arizona will play Friday in Oklahoma and is also in a pod with Texas as a four seed and Oakland as a 13.
