Four-star linebacker thinking about visit

Four-star linebacker Brian Nance is looking at his options and Arizona is currently one of them.

Four-star Euless (Tex.) Trinity High School linebacker Brian Nance is the type of player that may eventually has his choice of schools.

In anticipation of that moment, Arizona recently offered and a few other schools have followed suit.

"Recruiting is going good right now, even though it has slowed down a bit," Nance said. "My latest offer is USC and I am happy to see how far the process has gone because it means that something is going good for me to be able to get offers from the west."

Despite having offers from schools such as Arizona, Oklahoma, Oregon, Notre Dame, Arkansas, and more, Nance has yet to separate any of the schools recruiting him.

"No schools are starting to stand out yet," he said. "I do not have any favorites and I am trying to keep everything as open as possible."

Nance is coming off an injury, but it has not slowed down his recruitment. In fact, it has possibly been a bit overblown.

"It was not that serious, just a slight tear, but I got surgery so I can get back 100 percent," Nance said. "I will be back 100 percent before my first game, so I just chose to be out right now."

It does not seem to bother Arizona, as the UA coaching staff is in the process of trying to convince Nance to visit.

"I talked to Arizona a week or two ago and they are trying to get me to take a visit," he said. "I have talked to my family about whether or not I am going to visit, but have not made up my mind yet or set a date."

As with any school, if Nance does decide to visit Arizona, he has a solid idea of what he will be looking at.

"There is nothing too specific I am looking for in a school," he said. "Just basically a place I can get a good education and a place where my family will be happy and I can be four years at and play football and have a good life."

As far as a decision goes, Nance sees himself taking his time and deciding once he has looked at all of his options.

"I probably won't be deciding until Signing Day because I want to take all of my visits," he said.
