House high on Arizona

Danuel House is seeing his stock rise quickly as he performs well this summer. Read on to see where Arizona fits in his recruitment, when he will decide, and more.

There are numerous prospects that Arizona is already known to be recruiting for the 2012 class.

You can now add 6-foot-6, 175-pound Sugarland (Tex.) Hightower shooting guard Danuel House to that list, as there is mutual interest from both parties.

Of course, Arizona is not the only school recruiting House and he has seen his recruitment pick up dramatically as of late.

"Recruiting is going really good," House said. "I am hearing the most from Baylor, Louisville, Missouri, Arizona, Texas, and Houston.

"I wouldn't say that any of those schools stick out for me because I am keeping it open and looking around."

With that in mind, House does admit that he has high interest in Arizona due in large part to the success it had this past season.

"My interest in Arizona is high," he said. "I like the way the coaching staff talks to me and how it led the program back to the Elite Eight."

House is being recruited by Arizona assistant Joe Pasternack and that relationship will likely play a major role in House's decision.

"I would say the most important thing I am looking at is a coach that cares about the players and the ability to gain playing time," House said. "I want to look at how the coaching staff treats its players both on and off the court."

House is not set on playing a specific style in college, but does admit that he is leaning towards a team that likes the score in transition.

"I would not say I am looking for just a certain style, but I want to get easy buckets in transition, which makes it easier to get off set plays," he said.

At the end of the process, however, House knows exactly what will play the largest role in making a decision.

"I am kind of looking at everything and wanting to go from there," he said. "Then I have to say that the coaches will make me make a decision because of how I learn from them and how they check up on me and make sure I am doing ok.

"The coach that makes me the most comfortable is the one that I want to play for and will make me closer to the team and program."

As for when that feeling will come, House is currently taking his time with his recruitment.

"I really have time, but I am not going to rush anything because it is all new to me, so I want to take my time," he said. "As of now, I am not sure if there are any campuses that I want to visit or anything like that."
