The decision comes as no surprise, as Hemmila has not hid the fact that he has been high on Arizona for a while now.
"Arizona is doing great, I really like them," Hemmila said in late June. "I like coach Anae, I talk to him probably every two weeks. I like coach (Mike) Stoops and I love being down there. I have family in Tucson and it's just a great atmosphere down there.
"Arizona has a commitment, Beau Boyster, and we talk all the time. Me and him are really close, I like Beau. I went to an Oregon State camp with him and we met up there. We've been talking since we met our sophomore year. He wants me to go to Arizona, but he tells me to make the best decision."
Hemmila attended Arizona's spring game and hinted that Anae could play a large role in his decision.
"I talked to Coach Anae and he told me he wants me really bad," Hemmila said. "He told me what will happen when I come there. He's a great coach. He's not one of those yelling-type coaches if you screw up. He understands everyone screws up and he just wants you to come 100 percent every time.
"If you go 100 percent and screw up, it's fine as long as you're learning and getting better."
Hemmila is ranked as the 24th best offensive guard in the country and also gives Arizona one of the best players in the state.
