Tyree Robinson visiting Arizona

2013 guard Tyree Robinson is planning to visit Arizona on Wednesday. Read on to see why he is visiting, what other schools are recruiting him, and more.

After a successful summer running with the Oakland Soldiers, Tyree Robinson's stock has risen amongst coaches all around the country, which in turn has led to increased attention and offers from a few more programs.

"A couple more schools have started recruiting me more," Robinson said. "Oklahoma, Virginia Tech, Miami, Nebraska, LSU, Kansas, UNLV and a couple of other schools. Kansas and Oklahoma just offered me."

However on Wednesday, all of those schools will take a back seat to Arizona, as the 6-foot-1, 180-pound four star shooting guard plans to visit the coaching staff in Tucson.

"I'll be out at Arizona for an unofficial on Wednesday," Robinson said. "I have a friend that is going to school down there and we're taking him to school.

"I have family out there so I decided I'll come out and check out the school and everything. It'll just be me because my brother (Tyrell) is playing football. I gave up football; I don't want to play anymore."

Head coach Sean Miller has been recruiting the Robinson twins for some time now, and the familiarity between the three dates back years.

"Coach Miller is recruiting me and we have a great relationship," Robinson said. "He's been recruiting me since the eighth grade, and he was one of the first coaches that ever recruited me. He's heard a lot about me since 8th grade when my cousin Jamelle Horne went to Arizona, so he knows a lot about me and my brother."

So while on campus, the 13th ranked shooting guard in the class of 2013 is looking to get a feel for what Arizona basketball and Tucson have to offer.

"I just want to talk to the coaches and build our relationship more," Robinson said. "The coaches and I have a solid relationship right now, and I just want to see how the fit is for me and my brother and just get a feel for it."
