Brooks talks about decision

For a while now, Chatsworth (Calif.) Sierra Canyon School wide receiver Julian Brooks has known that he wanted to get the decision process over with relatively early.

On Tuesday afternoon, he did just that.

"I have committed to Arizona," Brooks said. "They have a good entrepreneur program and a good management school.

"Football also played a factor and I liked the atmosphere in Tucson and Arizona just seems to be a good all-around fit."

The 6-foot-2, 185-pound athlete chose Arizona over offers from Arizona State, Colorado, Oregon State, and others.

Therefore, it is no surprise that the coaching staff was elated when Brooks let it know about his decision on Tuesday.

"I told Coach (David) Nichol and Mike Stoops and they were both excited," Brooks said. "Nichol actually kind of screamed when I told him and they were all fired up."

According to Brooks, he has actually known for a while that Arizona was the place for him, but wanted to go through the process more.

"I have always wanted to kind of go to Arizona because I have a lot of friends that go there and have a lot of fun, but are also productive," he said.

"Their business school is one of the top ones and business management always interested me because I want to be an agent. When I went down there I could automatically tell it was the place I want to be."
