Staff Predictions: Week One

With the football season starting, WildcatAuthority.com makes its picks for week one.

Arizona is set to take on Northern Arizona Saturday and here is how the staff of WildcatAuthority.com sees it going down.

Jason Nimrichter: The Wildcats jump out to a big lead early and coast the rest of the way.

Foles and the receivers torch the Lumberjacks secondary while the NAU offense can't produce much with its inexperienced quarterback.

Arizona is able to rest most of the starters for the second half, giving the youth a chance to get some reps.

Prediction: Arizona 48, NAU 10

Blake Keathley: Nick Foles and company should have no problem picking apart a NAU secondary that features two corners and a safety with virtually no experience.

With an equally inexperienced quarterback for the Lumberjacks, the Arizona defense should be able to key on Zach Bauman and the running game to prevent him from having a big night.

The Wildcats get it rolling before the road trip to Stillwater next week.

Prediction: Arizona 45, NAU 10

Jason Scheer: Arizona has numerous questions this season, but winning Saturday's game is not one of them.

Expect Arizona to score early and often, as the starters are pulled a bit earlier than usual, making the score seem closer than the game really was and preparing the squad for Oklahoma State.

Prediction: Arizona 49, NAU 17
