Five-star planning to visit

Five-star shooting guard Matt Jones is one of the best players in 2013. Read on to see which schools came to see him workout, which he plans on visiting, and more.

One look at the coaches that visited 6-foot-4, 170-pound DeSoto (Texas) shooting guard Matt Jones would give you the impression that he is one of the best players in the country.

Jones has seen coaches from throughout the country come to his school to see him workout and it is no surprise that he is one of the most highly regarded players in the country.

"Recruiting is going well right now, I can't complain," Jones said. "North Carolina, Memphis, Arizona, Baylor, Arkansas, Texas A&M and a lot of schools that I can't remember right now. All of the schools that came to see me have offered."

With all of those schools recruiting him, Jones is taking his time with the recruiting process.

"I would not say that I have a leader right now," he said. "I am really just taking everything in and looking at all of my options."

According to Jones, he will be looking at each school's academics and how he fits in with the program. As far as Arizona goes, Jones believes the Wildcats would be a good fit.

"I like Arizona because I like the coaches," he said. "I like the system Arizona runs because I think I can fit in there. Also I like the fans, where the program is at and academics. There is a lot to like about Arizona."

Jones plans on seeing Arizona up close, but also has numerous schools in mind for future visits.

"I am going to Duke for its Midnight Madness and I am still working on my visits," he said. "I know I would like to visit Kansas, Texas, Memphis, Arizona, Indiana, Baylor, and maybe a few others."

As far as a decision goes, Jones is in absolutely no rush to end his recruitment.

"I don't have a timetable," Jones said. "When I feel it is the right time, that is when I will make my decision."
