Mike Hart hit a jumper, Pangos added another two, and Harris scored yet again to force Sean Miller to take timeout with Arizona down 14-0 early in the game.

The lead was maintained until the four minute mark, as Gonzaga led 30-15 before Sam Dower was fouled by Kyryl Natyazhko and hit a free throw to extend the lead to 31-15 with 3:30 left. Gary Bell then hit a three off of a missed jumper by Hill and the Bulldogs had their biggest lead of the game at 19. Nick Johnson hit a jumper shortly after and Kyle Fogg came back with one of his own before Johnson hit a layup that quickly cut the lead to 13 and forced Mark Few to call timeout with under two minutes left.

Pangos came back and hit two free throws and Harris hit a three to get rid of Arizona's lead and put the Bulldogs back up 18. Gonzaga held the ball for the final shot of the half, but missed and went into halftime with a 39-21 lead.

Hill hit two free throws to cut the Gonzaga lead to 15, but Pangos got it back with two free throws of his own. A Johnson jumper and two free throws by Fogg put the Wildcats within 13 points.

That did not last a minute though, as the Bulldogs came right back at put the lead at 17 with 13 minutes left in regulation. The lead stayed in the same range until Fogg hit a three with 9:48 left to pull Arizona within 15. The Wildcats cut it to six with a jumper by Johnson about a minute later, but the Bulldogs got it back on the free throw line and the game was basically over, despite Johnson's free throws cutting the Gonzaga lead to six with 1:20 left.
