Player Grades: Arizona vs. Oregon

Arizona lost to Oregon on Saturday. Read on to see WildcatAuthority.com hand out its individual grades.

Solomon Hill: Someone needed to bring the spark for Arizona in the second half and that player was Hill. He hit three straight three-pointers to bring the Wildcats back in it and the dunk with the foul on the fast break really had fans thinking that Arizona was going to erase a 17-point deficit.

Hill's second half was spectacular, but he along with his teammates really dropped the ball in the first half. Hill finished with 16 points.

Grade: B-

Josiah Turner: Turner hit a three-pointer for the second straight game, which was a good sign until he put up an air ball late. No assists and three turnovers helped the dismal first half that the Wildcats had, but Turner too was resilient and had the game tying steal and dunk.

Grade: C

Jesse Perry: Perry was tougher in this game, but unfortunately he is smaller than everyone he is guarding hand e is having a rough time keeping them off the glass and from getting easy points in the paint.

He battled, but could not get many opportunities on offense and struggled from the charity stripe, going 4 of 8. Perry finished with eight points and six rebounds.

Grade: C

Kyle Fogg: Arizona sure could have used a better shooting day from Fogg, who only went 1 of 9 from the field. He did have three assists and the highlight of his game was defending some pretty good Oregon guards, mostly Devoe Joseph in the second half. Arizona needs him on both ends of the court this season.

Grade: D+

Nick Johnson: After a good game on Thursday night, Johnson was not aggressive enough against Oregon and could not get much going at all. He shot 2 of 6 from the field, including a big three-pointer late for seven points and also had three rebounds.

You were waiting for Johnson to take the big moment, but instead he got one of his attempts blocked and that moment never really came.

Grade: D

Brendon Lavender: Lavender was extremely hot on Thursday night, so you would have thought he would have come out aggressive Saturday, but that did not happen.

He only attempted two three-pointers and one of them was a good look under a minute left. Lavender has to go out and be aggressive and just get shots up because Arizona needs it.

Grade: D

Jordin Mayes: He was a liability defensively and really isn't shooting the ball well as of late. His decision making has been shaky, so you have to wonder what he really is doing well while out on the court for Arizona. On Saturday he got two assists and two turnovers and did not do much else.

Grade: D-
