The 6-foot-3, 220-pound Los Angeles Pierce Community College linebacker recently added an offer from Arizona and is certainly excited about it.
"I am ecstatic about it," Jenkins-Moore said. "I did not have any offers coming out of high school, so this is all new to me. I am taking everything in and enjoying the moment.
"I was in class and my coach sent me a text and let me know that Coach Gibson had offered me. It was a complete surprise to me. It happened just right then and there and I could not believe it."
Arizona is not his first offer, as Jenkins-Moore also has numerous others, including a Utah and Texas A&M offer that came after Arizona.
"Texas Tech offered me on Christmas day and Ole Miss has offered me also," he said. "They came at moments where I was not really expecting anything. Everything was a big surprise, but I am really exciting."
Jenkins-Moore does not have an exact answer about why his recruiting attention has increased, but he believes much of it has to do with receiving more exposure.
"I am in an environment where California schools get looked at a lot, so maybe that is why I am getting more exposure," he said. "Coaches might also be starting to realize that they slept on me."
As Jenkins-Moore goes through the process, he has a good idea of what he will be looking for in a school.
"I am looking for a school that will give me the best chance to play," he said. "I am trying to interact with the coaches because I really want to be coached up. Coaching is what is really going to being me to a school."
As of now, Jenkins-Moore only has one visit set in stone, but that is something that is likely to change soon.
"I will be visiting Texas Tech on the 24th of March and Washington and Utah want me to take visits as well," he said. "I will probably take official visits to check out the scenes and see what a school really has to offer."
