Turner suspended

Freshman point guard Josiah Turner has been suspended from the team. Read on for details

Starting freshman point guard Josiah Turner has been suspended from the Arizona basketball indefinitely, with no reason given yet.

Turner did not make the trip to Los Angeles for the Pac-12 tournament and with the indefinite label, likely would miss more than one game should the Wildcats advance.

"Josiah Turner has been suspended indefinitely from our basketball team for a violation of team rules," said Miller in a statement. "I am disappointed in Josiah for his actions. Unfortunately this suspension comes at a time of great excitement and opportunity for our team. However, the standards of our program will not be compromised under any circumstances. Hopefully, Josiah will learn a valuable lesson from this experience."

Turner was also suspended for the Florida game earlier this season, but Sean Miller has mentioned numerous times since then that he has grown as a player in terms of maturity.
