Wildcats offer 2014 point guard

Arizona offered one of the top 2014 point guards in the country on Monday. Read on for the latest, including a possible upcoming visit.

2014 Los Angeles Loyola High School point guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright is one of the best players in the country, regardless of class, and is starting to be recruited as such.

"I'm definitely getting more interest from schools," Jackson-Cartwright said. "I've worked really hard and it's nice that people are noticing."

Jackson-Cartwright dominates due to his vision and quickness. His innate feel for the game is truly rare, and he figures to be able to choose his collegiate destination despite being only 5-foot-7.

As he goes through the recruiting process, Jackson-Cartwright is looking to tour colleges soon.

"I've been busy with the season still going on, but I'm ready to check out some places once the season is over," Jackson-Cartwright said. "I'll have to sit down with people close to me and figure out where to go.

"Right now I have offers from USC, UCLA, Washington, Arizona State, San Diego State and Arizona. Arizona just offered me today (Monday) so that's pretty much the latest."

Jackson-Cartwright is intrigued by his latest offer.

"I know it's a good school and they've put a bunch of point guards into the NBA," Jackson-Cartwright said. "Honestly though, I don't know too much about the place. The coaches say they like my game and how I play, so that's nice. I need to learn more, though."

It wouldn't be a surprise if Jackson-Cartwright travels to Tucson soon.

"Arizona is definitely a school I'd like to take a visit to," Jackson-Cartwright said. "It has a good reputation and is a school that wins."
