Wade staying focused

Linebacker Brett Wade has a plan in mind when it comes to his recruitment. Read on to see what that plan is, how he feels about the schools involved, and more.

Kennedale (Texas) linebacker Brett Wade describes his recruitment as busy and with double-digit offers, it is easy to see why.

"Everything with recruiting is going well," Wade said. "It has been pretty busy, but I am still enjoying the process."

Wade is hearing from every school that has offered him and there are others that have picked up their recruitment as well.

"I get a letter every day from Texas Tech and pretty much all 12 of my offers keep in touch regularly and then Texas A&M and Arkansas also," Wade said.

"I have talked to Arizona once since it offered me, but I have not talked to them enough to have a major relationship with them yet."

As Wade goes through the recruiting process, he knows what he is looking for and it is a bit unique when compared to other recruits.

"I am looking for a good engineering program," Wade said. "I am also looking closely at the overall football program and coaching staff."

Wade says that each school recruiting him makes a similar pitch in terms of why that particular school wants to land him.

"When the schools talk to me they tell me they like how I can read the play and that I am quick downhill and finish all of my plays," he said.

Wade has a few visits scheduled as of now and says that he will not overload his summer in order to make sure he is focused.

"I plan to revisit A&M pretty soon, take a visit to Arkansas pretty soon and then I will do a camp or two," Wade said. "I don't want to do more because there is no reason to be wearing myself out."

Not only does Wade have his visits planned, but he also knows when he would like to make a final decision.

"I know that I want to make a final decision before the start of my senior season," he said. "I want to be able to focus on my senior year."
