Linebacker wants to visit

Arizona was one of the first offers for linebacker Marcus Jenkins-Moore. Read on to see where ti stands, how he is approaching the process, and more.

Los Angeles Pierce Community College outside linebacker Marcus Jenkins-Moore has seen his college recruitment take off over the past few months, but he feels he has only scratched the surface of his potential.

"I played okay last year," Jenkins- Moore said. "I only played in 8 games, but I felt I could make a bigger impact in those games. It's all good because things happen for a reason. Our team just needs to get on the same page, and we're all working hard and improving -- just trying to get better on a daily basis."

Improving his game isn't the only thing on Jenkins-Moore's mind.

"I would like to start checking out colleges and take some visits at the end of April," Jenkins-Moore said. "I can't really go before then because I'm working on my mid-terms and trying to get my grades in order, which is my top priority right now."

"The schools that stick out to me are Arkansas, Arizona, Purdue, Kansas State and Rutgers." Jenkins-Moore did not name any favorites, but says Arizona has made a solid impression on him.

"Arizona is definitely a school I want to visit," Jenkins Moore said. "I've been getting a lot of information from them about the school and the renovations taking place along with the new end zone project.

"Coach Casteel is recruiting me at outside linebacker, but he said he'd like me to play all over and not just in the box. He thinks I can make plays from a number of different positions and playing all over the field is what I like to do."

Jenkins-Moore would like to make a decision before the start of his sophomore year.

"If possible I'd like to make my decision by August 28," Jenkins-Moore said. "It would be nice to have that decision made so I can go out and fully concentrate on the season."
