Cats may have new WR coach

Arizona football may have a new wide receivers coach to replace Mike Borich who resigned for personal reasons earlier this month. Although nothing has been announced officially, several participants at this weekend's John Mackovic Football Camp said that a new coach was in place.

According to sources Mose Rison, cousin of former NFL standout Andre Rison, will be announced as the new wide receivers coach. Rison, who last served on Herm Edwards' New York Jets staff, has experience at the college level, last coaching at Stanford. He coached players like Wayne Crebet and LaVerneus Coles.

As of now there is no official confirmation on whether or not Rison was hired. According to the University the job was closed on Friday, but as yet no hiring has been announced.

Players participating at this weekend's Arizona Football Camp said that Rison was working with the recievers.

Rison, 47, played running back for Central Michigan from 1974—1977 where he still ranks 10th on the school's rushing list. He began coaching for his alma mater in 1981.

Mose Rison's coaching track record:

Central Michigan 81-97
Navy 88-89
Rutgers 90-94
Stanford 95-00
NY Jets 01-02
