Winslow getting busy

Justise Winslow is one of the best recruits in 2014, but is not paying attention to recruiting right now. Read on to see where his focus is, what his goals are, and more.

2014 St. Johns School (TX) guard Justise Winslow is one of the elite prospects in the nation. The 6-foot-6 five-star recruit can score at will, possesses elite athleticism and displays a rare feel for the game.

Expect Winslow to improve as he will be busy honing his skills during the next few months.

"I'm going all over this summer," Winslow said. "I got a couple tournaments this month and I'm also getting ready for the Team USA tryouts.

"If I make the team I will be playing with Team USA for much of the summer. It would be a big deal to make the team and I'm hopeful I will."

While Winslow will be playing for multiple teams this year, he plans on honing his individual skills as well.

"I want to continue to work on all parts of my game this summer," Winslow said. "My main goal is to continue to get better at everything- dribbling, shooting and getting in the best shape I can."

Winslow's position at the next level is yet to be decided.

"Different coaches tell me different things," Winslow said. "Some see me as a point and others see me as a shooting guard. I'm fine with either position, so I just want to get better at both."

Not much has changed in Winslow's recruiting situation.

"Honestly, I haven't given recruiting much thought lately," Winslow said. "I took some visits earlier in the year, but nothing else is planned. I probably won't take any visits this summer because I will be very busy."

Winslow does have a time frame for a decision, however.

"I would like to decide my senior year or just right before that," Winslow said. "I will probably take all five visits and make the best decision for myself."
