Zimmerman impressed with Arizona

2015 center Stephen Zimmerman is drawing plenty of attention this AAU season. Read on to see the two schools recruiting him the hardest, what he wants in a school, and more.

It may be early in his recruitment, but that has not stopped schools from recruiting 6-foot-11, 205-pound Las Vegas Bishop Gorman center Stephen Zimmerman.

Zimmerman played in the Adidas Exclusive Run with Dream Vision 16 and moved over to the 17 team this past weekend where he helped Dream Vision win the Real Deal in the Rock.

While he may already be an impressive player for numerous reasons, Zimmerman is quick to answer when asked what his goals for the spring are.

"I just want to get better," Zimmerman said. "I feel I can work on my ball handling skills and also to be stronger when I grab a rebound."

Zimmerman is hearing from numerous schools, but says that there are two that he can point to as recruiting him the hardest.

"Everything with recruiting is pretty good right now," he said. "Michigan is recruiting me really hard and Arizona is also recruiting me hard."

It is too early for Zimmerman to have any favorites, but he admits that Arizona sticks out for a few reasons.

"Arizona seems like a great place with good coaches and they are going to have a great team next year," he said.

In terms of what he is looking for in a school, Zimmerman can point to two factors that he will look at hard.

"I just want an environment you can play in easily and the coaches will be there to help you," he said.

With Zimmerman being so young, it makes sense that he wants to take his time in making a final decision.

"I see myself taking officials because I want to make sure that I am making the correct choice," Zimmerman said.
