Allen wants an offer

Dakarai Allen is working for an offer from Arizona and others and knows what he needs to do to get it. Read on to see what it is, how he would feel about an Arizona offer, and more.

Sacramento (Calif.) Sheldon guard Dakarai Allen knows the main criticism of his game. Instead of ignoring it, he uses it to motivate himself to work harder in order to improve it.

"I know I need to show everybody that I can shoot it instead of just driving it and playing defense," Allen said.

Allen is hearing from plenty of schools, but realizes that his recruitment is extremely close to quickly heating up.

"Colorado, Stanford, USC, San Diego State, Arizona, and a few more are the schools that I am hearing from the mos," he said."

Arizona has watched Allen numerous times, but has yet to offer. When asked why, Allen is quick to answer.

"I need to show Arizona I have a complete game," he said. "I feel like an offer is coming if I can do that and it is something I am striving for."

Should that offer come, Allen feels that it would represent a big moment for him as a player.

"I really like Arizona and they always have a top class," Allen said. "If I get a scholarship offer from them, it would really be like a milestone for me as a player, so Arizona would be really big for me."

There is a chance that Allen will visit Arizona and others in the next few months and as he takes those visits, he has a good idea of what he will be looking for.

"I just really want to see the campus, practice facilities, and meet the coaches," Allen said. "I want to see how the practices go and what type of vibe I get from campus."

As of now, Allen does not have a favorite, but he does know what it would take for him to get one.

"I am wide open," he said. "I have not taken any visits yet and maybe when I go to schools and see the campus I will have a better idea. I want to be at a place where they run, play defense, and I can contribute and help the team my freshman year."
