Solomon to Arizona

Arizona has added quarterback Anu Solomon to its class. Read on for why he chose Arizona, what he thinks of his upcoming role, and more.

Arizona has seemingly led for 6-foot-1, 205-pound Las Vegas Bishop Gorman quarterback Anu Solomon for quite some time and on Sunday morning he decided to end his recruitment.

"I just did it this morning," Solomon said on Sunday. "I chose Arizona because I looked at the education and started thinking about starting right away or at least trying to and I really like the coaching staff, the campus, the community."

Solomon knew that he wanted to decide soon and sat down with his family on Saturday night in order to go over the schools recruiting him.

"I knew last night that it would be Arizona," he said. "I got together with my parents and went over each college and saw what was best for me and it came down to Arizona."

In addition, Solomon feels that Rich Rodriguez's past success with quarterbacks will go a long way in determining his success.

"Rodriguez runs a spread option and the quarterback has to pass and run and does a lot," Solomon said. "He is a guy that makes a lot of plays and if you look at Denard Robinson and Pat White, they turned out great and I felt he would make me great."

When asked to choose the one factor that set Arizona apart, Solomon's answer went beyond the campus or team itself.

"The discipline," he said. "I needed a coach with discipline where he can get on me even when I am doing well, he needs to get on me and make sure I am getting better."
