Dunn getting closer

Linebacker Ryan Dunn is being careful through the recruiting process, but does not want to drag it out. Read on to see his thoughts on Arizona, the other schools involved, and more.

Until recently, San Ramon (Calif.) outside linebacker Ryan Dunn was one of the more under-recruited players on the west coast, but more schools are now recruiting the 2013 prospect.

"I've been getting more recruiting attention lately," Dunn said. "Arizona has offered me and I'm also hearing from Oregon, Washington, USC and UCLA. All the places have good reputations, so I'm looking forward to it.

"I'm going to try to go to all those school's camps and see what they have to offer."

As far as Arizona goes, Dunn likes what he has heard from the Wildcats so far.

"They've been on me pretty hard," Dunn said. "They've offered me and have recruited me well. I went down there for spring break and it was great. I got to check the school out and talk with the coaches, and everything was just impressive.

"The coaches feel I can really help at outside linebacker. They think my skills will fit in well with the up-tempo, aggressive system they are trying to run."

Dunn plans on checking out as many schools as possible this summer, but also will continue to work on his skills.

"I'm doing a lot of stuff with my team this summer and we're going to improve individually and as a team." Dunn said. "We just need to work hard on a daily basis, whether it's lifting weights or running sprints."

Although Dunn figures to be busy this summer, he doesn't plan on dragging out the recruiting process.

"I don't want to delay a decision any longer than possible," Dunn said "I would like to decide by the second or third game of the season because I really want to focus on finishing my senior season out strong."
