Cormier will try to visit

Running back Pierre Cormier is one of Arizona's top priorities. Read on to see if the feeling is mutual, what Cormier's summer plans are, and more.

Pierre Cormier is a running back prospect whose stock continues to rise as more schools get involved in his recruitment. The 5-foot-10, 180-pounder from San Diego Madison currently holds offers from nearly a dozen schools and is drawing interest from programs all over the country.

Arizona is one school that has remained consistent in its pursuit of Cormier as the Wildcats' staff continues to stay in touch with the San Diego product.

"I have talked with Rich Rodrigurez, Rod Smith and Coach Magee," Cormier said.

Cormier has been able to build a good relationship with the staff. He became comfortable with the UA coaches early and that went a long way in establishing a strong foundation.

"It's building up," Cormier said. "I have talked to them a couple of times. We have had some good talks. Usually when you first talk to coaches, it's a little weird because you don't know them. But the first time talking to them was good."

The staff has discussed Cormier visiting the Arizona campus at some point and that could take place over the next few months.

"I told them I would try to be up there over summer," Cormier said. "I may try to take an official visit there too."

Landing Cormier is going to be a tough task for the Wildcats. While they remain in excellent standing for his services, Cormier currently has a strong program going after him and he is certainly interested in what it has to offer.

"I'd have to say that the hardest out of all the schools that are after me is Boise State," Cormier said. "I think they are coming after me the hardest. Out of all of the schools that offered me, I think I have the best relationship with those coaches. "

While Cormier lists the Broncos as his favorite, it would seem the Wildcats are right behind them on his list of favorite.

"I can tell you Boise is number one," Cormier said. "Then I can tell you Arizona comes next, but I can't tell you what comes after that."

With a potentially busy summer ahead, Cormier would prefer to make a decision early. With that being stated, Cormier is still going to make his visits first and will ultimately decide shortly after, regardless of when that occurs.

"If I could visit all the schools over the summer I would make it before," Cormier said. "But probably after my senior season."
