Holiday enjoys visit

Cornerback Devin Holiday recently visited Arizona. Read on to see how the visit went, if he is close to a decision, and more.

One of the top defenders on the UA coaching staff's wish list is Mission Hills (Calif.) corner back Devin Holiday. The 2013 prospect recently visited the UA campus and came away with a few thoughts.

"The visit went great," Holiday said. "I got to check out the school and talk with the coaches, and it was just a fun time overall. The coaches have been telling me how they expect big things down there.

"The coaches told me they liked my flexibility on the back end of the defense. They feel I can make a contribution off the receiver or in a tough press defense."

Although Arizona is one of Holiday's favorite schools, he plans on taking more visits.

"I'm going up to Washington from the 14th to the 16th," Holiday said. "I'm excited to see what they have to offer. Coach Sarkisian is obviously doing a good job up there.

"Other than Arizona and Washington, the other schools I really like are Boise and Cincinnati."

Holiday plans on working hard and making the most of his summer.

"The main thing I want to work on is my technique," Holiday said. "Basically, I just want to work on getting in and out of my drops as quickly as possible. When you get to the next level, technique is very important."

Recruiters shouldn't expect Holiday to make a decision until later this summer.

"I'm not exactly sure of the time frame for choosing where I want to go," Holiday said. "The only thing I know is that I would like to decide before the season.

"If for some reason I‘m not ready by then, I will wait until after the season. I really want to focus on having a great senior year."
