One player that it would like to land is Oakland (Calif.) Bishop O'Dowd forward Ivan Rabb. The 6-foot-9, 200-pound 2015 athlete recently participated with the older Oakland Soldiers squad in the Nike EYBL.
"My goal playing with the older guys is to just get better and win each game," Rabb said. "I just want to do whatever I need to do to help the team win."
In terms of what Rabb feels he can do, his versatility is what allows him to succeed at a higher level.
"I am very versatile," he said. "I can pick and pop and handle the ball, which most people don't know. I also can work out of the post and I am able to find teammates and pass it well in the post also."
Arizona noticed those skills and was quick to offer, making it the first school to do so.
"The only school that offered is Arizona, but Cal, Oregon State, and Oregon are looking at me," Rabb said. "I was surprised by the Arizona offer. I know they watched me and I had an opportunity to get an offer when I saw that they were watching me."
Rabb admits that he is not very familiar with Arizona, but the parts that he is familiar with could be beneficial in the future.
Rabb is early enough in the process where he does not have an idea of what he wants in a future school or even when he will decide.
"I am not sure what I will be focusing on yet," he said. "I am also not sure when I will decide, but if I love a school and know I want to go there, I won't have any problem committing when that is."
