Quarterback looking hard at Arizona

Arizona is in search for one more quarterback for this class. Read on to see if Michael Julian may be that quarterback, what he thinks of Arizona, and more.

Although highly-rated quarterback Anu Solomon is already committed to Arizona, the Wildcat coaching staff is looking to add another quarterback to the 2013 recruiting class.

Hilton Head (SC) signal-caller Michael Julian is near the top of the UA wish list.

"I've talked with Coach Rodriguez and Coach Smith," Julian said. "I like what both of them have to say. They think I have the potential to make an impact early in my career and that's definitely something I like to hear. They say I fit into their system because I can make plays with my arm and I'm also a pretty good runner."

While Julian would not name any favorites, he does admit that Arizona is in the company of another school he is concentrating on.

"The two biggest schools I'm looking at are Arizona and TCU," he said. "Both schools have good things about them, and I would like to check out both, if possible."

Julian has no time frame for making a decision and plans on taking his time.

"I want to take all five of my visits," Julian said. "I want to be able to look at different places and compare them. This is one of the biggest decisions I'll make in my life, so I want to make sure that I have everything covered."

Julian still has a number of goals he wants to achieve before taking his skills to the next level.

"There are a lot of things that I want to accomplish next year," Julian said. "From a team perspective we have to take each opponent game by game. We have to win regionals, and then we go onto state where we have to take care of business.

"From an individual standpoint, I also want to break my own touchdown record. I want to continue to improve my speed and explosiveness, and I also want to put up as many points as possible."
