"I like the area around it and I really like the coaches and the direction they are headed with the team," Morgan said. "I felt like that is the place where I can get to play football and get a good education."
Morgan was actually on Arizona's campus earlier in the week and came away impressed with what he saw.
"I visited Arizona a few days ago and the campus stuck out the most," Morgan said. "I liked how it is all centered and everything is around the school."
Morgan is being recruited for the defensive side of the ball, where he will likely have numerous responsibilities.
"I am being recruited as a safety that also rolls down to the line of scrimmage and as a linebacker," Morgan said.
Morgan has developed a strong relationship with Arizona's coaching staff, including one coach in particular.
"The coach I talk to the most is Tony Gibson and he is laid back when he needs to be, but also does not pull you around," Morgan said. "He tells you what he thinks, how the team is doing, what he believes, and does not lie."
Morgan had recruiting attention from a few other schools, but says that Arizona being the first to offer helped it out.
"Arizona is my only offer, but Colorado State was also talking to me a lot," he said. "Arizona being my first offer means it looked at my stuff and really wanted me.
"It gave me an option to go look at and showed me a team that wants to get ahead of the game and offer prospects that it knows it likes."
