Pitts is appreciative of the recruiting attention he is receiving, but is not resting on his accolades.
"My main goal is to improve my shooting," Pitts said. "I'm a pretty good shooter right now, but I want to get to the point where I'm a complete knockdown shooter that defenses can't lose track of.
"I also want to improve my ball-handling and court awareness, but the top priority is shooting. I feel if I improve at all those aspects, everything will take care of itself."
Although many of the best schools in the country have offered Pitts, he is still in the early stages of his recruitment.
"I'm wide open," Pitts said. "I'm kind of hesitant to give a list because I don't want to leave anyone off. I appreciate all the schools that are recruiting me."
One of those schools is Arizona, which Pitts has been developing a relationship with.
"I've been talking with the UA coaches," Pitts said. "They seem pretty cool. They like that I can shoot and they think I should continue to improve my ball-handling and just diversify my skills."
Pitts will be visiting the UA in early August and is looking forward to the visit.
"I'm planning on getting down there in early August and I'm just excited to see everything," he said. "I've heard good things, so I'm just interested to see everything for myself."
Once Pitts take his visits he plans on narrowing down his school list.
"I'm going to take some visits in August," Pitts said. "Besides Arizona, I want to check out Georgetown, Washington and Gonzaga. Those are the schools that come to mind that I might visit.
"The plan is to narrow down the list after the summer and decide sometime in the fall."
