Linebacker planning to visit

Linebacker Jake Woolley holds an Arizona offer, but wants to take his time. Read on to see where Arizona stands, when he wants to decide, and more.

College of the Canyons (Calif.) outside linebacker Jake Woolley was offered his first Division-I scholarship by the University of Arizona, and while UA remains the only school to offer Woolley, he is receiving more attention.

"Besides Arizona, a few really good schools are recruiting me," Woolley said. "USC, Arkansas and Texas Tech are recruiting me, but none of those schools have offered."

The Wildcat's early offer intrigues Woolley.

"I would really like to visit Arizona," Woolley said. "They're the school that has offered me, so I want to see what they're about.

"I don't know what the future holds because they haven't really pushed me to come down there."

Although Woolley continues to garner recruiting interest, he is doing his best to become a better football player.

"I'm working really hard with my team this summer," Woolley said. "We have morning workouts and then we have practice in the afternoon. I'm also taking a summer class, so it's fair to say I'm having a busy summer.

"We're putting in a lot of time because we have a lot of goals. We want to be the best team in the country and win a championship. We are a talented team and we have the players to do it.

"Everyone is working hard in the weight room and really pushing each other toward the big goal. We want to win games and get as many players into Division-I schools as possible."

Woolley plans on taking his time before making a decision.

"I will probably decide after my senior season," Woolley said. "That's not set in stone and anything could happen, but right now I don't want to make a decision as big as that without thinking everything out."
