However, one player that the Wildcat coaches didn't get to watch was 2015 center Stephen Zimmerman. His Dream Vision team played, but he sat out with a knee injury that has plagued him for most of the summer.
Even with his injury, numerous schools have recruited Zimmerman hard. One of those schools is the Arizona Wildcats.
"There's a couple schools that have been recruiting me pretty hard," Zimmerman said. "Arizona is one of those schools along with UCLA and Kansas. Those are probably the three hardest schools."
Arizona may be recruiting Zimmerman the hardest, but he is keeping his recruitment wide open for the moment.
"I wouldn't say that those are my top schools right now," he said. "I don't really have a top three or a top five right now. It's pretty early and I'm just trying to relax and get better."
Zimmerman has visited Tucson before,as he went last summer and thoroughly enjoyed the trip.
"It was great," Zimmerman said. "The coaches showed me around and they talked to me about the program. They told me that they were going to recruit me hard and so far they haven't let up.
"I saw a game and the team played well and won. It looks like a great team and a great coaching staff."
The coaching staff is one reason that Zimmerman has been drawn to Arizona. Sean Miller and his assistants like to run an up tempo offense, something that intrigues the big man.
"They like to run and that's my game," Zimmerman said. "I like to run. Since I'm a big man, I don't really know why, but it's how I play. Arizona could be a good fit for that."
Zimmerman wants to look at the success of the program. One thing that stands out to him about Arizona is the recent recruiting class.
"You have to look at how teams play over the long haul, not just how they played last year," Zimmerman said. "They are getting some good players and that makes you successful."
