Five-star intrigued by Arizona offer

Arizona offered five-star forward Justin Jackson this past week. Read on for his thoughts on the offer, Arizona in general, and more.

Few players had a better summer than Justin Jackson. The 2014 6-foot-6, 175-pound Spring (Texas) Homeschool Christian Youth wing proved he was an accurate shooter and also capable of attacking the basket. Because of his scoring prowess, Jackson is hearing from a bevy of big-time schools.

"I'm really starting to hear from some pretty good programs," Jackson said. "North Carolina, Duke, Florida, Texas, Texas A&M and Arizona are a few of the schools I'm hearing from, and it's definitely an honor to hear from those kind of schools."

Arizona's interest is relatively new and with Sean Miller impressed at how Jackson played for Houston Hoops, the head coach decided to offer.

"Arizona offered me yesterday, so I'm pretty excited about that," Jackson said. "That school has put a lot of guards in the NBA and the coaching staff likes the fact that I'm a little bigger and that I can shoot.

"It's definitely a school I'm interested in learning more about."

Now that the AAU season is over, Jackson is focused on the season.

"I've got a lot of goals individually and team wise," Jackson said. "I want to continue to become a better creator. A lot of people said before the summer I was just a shooter, so I think I surprised some people with my versatility. I also need to get stronger over the next few years.

"From a team perspective, we want to get better every day."

Jackson is not close to making a decision, so his recruitment should intensify.

"I'm just enjoying hearing from different schools," Jackson said. "I don't really want to eliminate anybody until I get a better idea on everything.

"That said, I'll probably try to narrow my list by the end of my junior year and decide before my senior year."
