Jackson-Cartwright looking forward to visit

Parker Jackson-Cartwright is one of Arizona's top targets for 2014. Read on to see his thoughts on his upcoming visit to Arizona, when he will decide, and more.

Los Angeles Loyola point guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright is a priority 2014 recruit for the UA coaching staff.

Jackson-Cartwright is one of those rare players who can truly dominate a game without scoring a point. His basketball I.Q. and quickness make him incredibly effective in a full-court or half-court setting.

Because of his skills, Jackson-Cartwright can attend any school on the west coast.

"I like Arizona, UCLA, Washington, and some other schools," Jackson-Cartwright said. "I'm going to check out Arizona here soon, so I'm excited to see everything."

Jackson-Cartwright will be visiting Arizona for the first time and has a good idea of what he will be looking for.

"I'm looking forward to getting to know Coach Miller and just seeing what the program is like," he said. "I've heard a lot of good things, but I just want to see everything for myself."

Although he is in the middle of the recruiting process, Jackson-Cartwright is working on improving his basketball skills as well.

"I'm trying to become a better shooter and just becoming more of a leader," Jackson-Cartwright said. "The point guard is kind of like a coach on the floor and that's what I'm aiming to be out there.

"I'm working on all aspects of my game, but those are two areas that I continue to focus on."

Jackson-Cartwright isn't firm on when he'll make his college decision.

"I don't have a set time frame for making a decision," Jackson-Cartwright said. "I'm kind of feeling things out right now.

"I plan on just seeing how the visits go and I'll move on from there."
